Knight Lightning
Knight Lightning (Craig Neidorf, born 1969) is an American editor and co-founder of Phrack, the hacker e-zine first published 17 November 1985. With Taran King, he edited most of the first thirty issues; early releases went out from Metal Shop Private, Taran King's St. Louis BBS. In 1990 he was prosecuted in United States v. Riggs after Phrack #24 carried a BellSouth E911 document — charges dropped when the memo proved publicly orderable for $13; the case helped catalyze the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Neidorf studied at the University of Missouri; he later worked as a researcher at EFF.
