Daniel Temkin makes images, programming languages, and interactive pieces that explore systems of logic and language. His work has been a critic’s pick in ArtNews, the New York Times and the Boston Globe. He has presented at conferences such as SXSW, SIGGRAPH, and Media Art Histories and published papers in World Picture Journal, Leonardo and others. He was awarded the Creative Capital / Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant for the esoteric. codes blog, his exploration of programming languages as art, and a Webby Awards commission to create a web-based version of his Internet Directory project.
