Description

Chris Sedgwick was born in Florida in 1981 and began painting at a young age.  He graduated from Florida State University and began a career in painting after moving to Asheville, NC.  His work is permanently residing at Florida State University,Western Carolina University, Purdue University, and more and is also housed in many private art collections. Sedgwick currently lives and works from his home in Colorado Springs.

Sedgwick draws inspiration from religious background including but not limited to Western Esoteric traditions of Rosicrucianism, Hermeticism, Germanic Paganism and  Comparative Mythology. Among is most important scholarly influences is Joseph Campbell.

He frequently mixes the spiritual with the scientific, and it is of this style for which is is most notably recognized.
