Description
Kratzmuseum is a web based, interactive exhibition space. The museum is designed for use on desktop and laptop computers. Visitors to the Kratzmuseum are free to modify their experience by utilizing the drag function, or by altering works with selection. Exhibits rotate biannually, but with no specific scheduling. The depicted works are original, however, they are influenced by preeminent artists throughout history, using value and provenance as a gauge for canonization, rather than contemporary themes of inclusivity. The layout of the museum is inspired by David Teniers' paintings that were commissioned by the Archduke Leopold of Brussels, and other similar works by Cornelis de Baellieur, Frans Francken, Jan Brueghel the Elder, Johan Zoffany and Samuel F.B. Morse, that portrayed immense, clustered art collections and wunderkammer.
