A new SCALE mark: △

SCALEPUBLISHING has a new site symbol: (Unicode U+25B3, white up-pointing triangle). You will see it in the masthead beside the publisher name, in the browser tab favicon, and on home-screen icons when you save the site to your phone.

What changed

The imprint previously used (U+27C1, a nested-triangle mathematical sign). That glyph was dense at favicon size and easy to clip in small squares. is simpler: one upward triangle, readable from 16×16 pixels up through the masthead, still in SCALE purple (#800080).

Why a triangle

SCALE publishes at many scales—monthly journals, weekly editions, book-length anthologies—knowledge for a world of limited resources. The triangle points up: lift, measure, index. It echoes the nested marks in older SCALE print logos without requiring the full Inkscape geometry in every chrome slot.

The geometric logos under static/img/logo/ remain part of the archive; the live site mark is now the Unicode triangle for clarity and consistency across templates.
